If anyone has some good, ideas im tryin everything! and right now my right one is mounted on a CAI braket with out the CAI installed. so that has to change cause it wont fit once i put it back in for the summer. so Any ideas? Thanks for the help! Pics would be a huge plus!
Mine is tucket in that little area behind each head light. Theres that hole there you use to swap your bulbs, I just ziptied them down in that area.
Theyve stayed secure for the last 2 months, no vibration everything works. Best part is if I need to move them, cut zip ties and done.
I can take pictures for you later, but mine are stuffed on the frame rails inside the fenders. The driver's side one is right behind the PDC and next to the TIP (cant see it), and the passenger one is stuffed way up behind the AC Compressor and the washer fluid tank.
I had totally spaced this, so I just ran outside to take a couple pictures for you. The driver's side one you can only see if you REALLY look. I found it to be the best place, and its far away from water. I know my intake filter is dirty. I clean it every two weeks in the winter and it STILL gets like that. I wish they made a different color, the red kills me. My engine bay is filthy also, I apologize for that.
Thanks for the pics I pretty much have my pass side one in the same spot but I had to jerry rig one of the mounting brackets that came with the kit to hold it in, and I had to use a piece of rubber to keep it tight. How did you guys secure yours? You drill any holes? Cause I was thinking about that but I don’t know how to get in to the fender to get a nut on the back of a bolt.
i used a self taping screw on the top of it and there was an open hole on the bottom. so i used a plastic clip there. As for the drivers side, i just used 3 zip ties and strapped it down good.
I cleaned off the surface really well with rubbing alcohol (passenger side) and used a big double sided piece of tape and pressed it in there good. It stayed there for two years until I had to replace it. The driver's side, it stays there on its own account but I used the tape anyhow.
