Default Volt gauge install question.

First off let me just say hi I just joined the board.

I'm going to try to install a volt gauge on my car this weekend and I was wondering where is the best place to connect it to? I would like it to turn on with my accessory position. Thank!

Default

what do you want to measure the voltage on?

if you just want to get a general idea of the state of your battery, then I would connect it straight to the battery, as long as it has some sort of turn on lead.

depending on what circuit you monitor, you're going to see some variation because of load, inheritant voltage losses and suboptimal grounding.
