Default Vacuum Table Pics

So I've been working on this here & there over the past few weeks. I finally finished it today. Now I'm just waiting on the polystyrene to show up so I can play with my new toy!

This is the main vac table. I decided to put the port directly in the middle.

Here's the frame for the plastic sheets.

It took me a bit to figure out how I was going to finish it off. I went back & notched the bottom all the way around & added the sides (would have been much easier to just cut the bottom layer 1/2" shorter on each side but I didn't know that when I was assembling it).

I installed the vac port & cut handles into the sides to make it easy to lug around.

I finished it off with some foam insulation & built a stand to hold up the reflectors/ projector (stole this idea fron NJ Kiko). Well, here you have it!

Maybe this will spark some idea's for someone else to get out there & make some cool shit!

basically a home made vacuform. he is going to put a big piece of plastic in there and heat it up and pull a vacuum on the table which will suck the air from under it and pull it over whats on the table. basically making a mold.

Wow John.... Great fucking work.

Do you have direct access to a CnC machine or something? That vacuum matrix looks like it would either take a lot of time free hand or you did some CnC shits.

I do have access to a CnC but I cut everything with my table saw & used all purpose construction adhesive (like liquid nails). It did tabe some time to build. That's why it took 3 full days.

Chris, next time I get everything out I'll build one of those stands for you.

Obviously I'm still new to it so I want to play with some different stuff & get the hang of it 1st. If you need something ASAP then aww sgeet & NJ Kiko can help you out as well.

Ahhhh ok. I see the table saw work now. Lots of little pieces. I hate working with table saws and small shit like that. Always afraid I'll lose a finger.

Can't wait to see what you end up doing with this. Your products are already great without the use of one of these tables. Now its just going to be insane.

I just didn't feel like making a trip to go get some biscuits. I had about 11tybillion pennys so it worked out. Once I get going on a project I hate to stop.

I'm excited to use this on some projects. The plastic should be here today so this weekend I'll mess with it.
