Default trying to do my own hids with projectors, few questions...

ok i've been wanting to do this for a while, and i have a few questions for you guys. First of all im not going to buy this from a vendor, too much $$$ im going to buy the parts and do this myself, im good with my hands (or so ive been told,jk) and i have a friend thats good with all kinds of stuff if i decide to have them molded in, so here are my questions;

1. where did you get your bulbs, how much, and did they come with a harness for the srt4?
2. can you just buy any hid bulbs and make your own harness? if so how?
3. what kind of projectors did you get? where? off of what car? how much?
4. how did you mount them inside the headligth?
5. wich kind would be the whitest? i've seen some kinda blue/purpleish not my thing.

i ask all this because ive seen projectors and sometimes hid going on ebay for close to nothing, i dont trust ebay but i also have friends that work at dealers like dodge, toyota and nissan, so maybe i can get the parts truogh them.

thanks for any help guys

take a trip to HIDPlanet.com/forums you need to register though. It'll have alll the answers for you.

The kelvin you would want to get is OEM which is 4300K. It will eventually turn into a blue hue but that's not until after many many hours of use. HIDplanet.com has pretty much everything you need, projectors,bulbs, ballast . check it out
