Default TL bixenon lenses....

Are there any other clear lenses that fit the TL projectors besides the BMW ZKW lenses? Is it worth the additional cost to buy a set of ZKW projectors for the lenses? Thanks, Jon

E30 lens I've heard works too

I'd stay away form the ebay ZKW replica lens because from what I've seen, it only gets your beam sharper, not more powerful, like a true ZKW does.

Hey hak, how much are real zkw lenses going for? i see a set including the e46 projectors for $280. is that a decent price or is there a better place to look for some at a little less money. thanks, Jon

P.S. I registered to be a member of HIDplanet a few weeks ago and still can't log in or use the forum. I looked in the faq and it said to email admin but they don't give you the email address to contact admin. any way you would be able to get the email address of whomever can clear me to use that forum?

I just sold my ZKW lenses LOL

There are two types of ZKW E46. Make sure they are the right ones. The ZKW you'd need is completely clear. The other one has fresnel rings and has a small clear inner cirle area on the lens. That one is no good for a swap. Ask the seller to take a pic close-up of the lens to verify which year ZKW it is. The newer ZKW uses the fresnel lens. You want the older one.

Let me know what your username was on hidplanet and I'll automatically enable your account. BTW, any of the moderators or admins email is their username followed by "@hidplanet.com"

my username would be the same as on this site. quicktalon11s. so the lenses i want would be the older completely clear ZKW lenses. what would be a reasonable amount to pay for them?

Sorry to get back to you late, but I just manually approved your HIDP account

As for the price, there is a few sets on ebay right now with the entire ZKW projector for $290-something. Generaqlly the lenses alone carry $200+.

Nope they only came on certain year E46 (3 series) and only came on the 330xi

5 series is a Hella E55 projector if I'm not mistaken.
