I just picked up a extra set of stock headlights. I want to try and take them apart and paint the inside to match my car Eblue to give them the same sort of look as the new Corvette. I got the lights for next to nothing and I figured I'd give it a try.
My question is how do I get them apart? I saw something about heating them in an oven. If that true what temp should I put them at and for how long. If thats not how you do it then please show me the way. Also when I put them back together what is the best sealent to use on them?
Good luck getting the stock headlights apart. They use a really really good sealant and you will probably warp the lens before you get it to come off.

But then trying to seal it back up once you dremel it leaving no "slot" for the lens to slide into, rather just bare surface to bare surface would be rather difficult.
I have a set that are spider-webbed I'm going to play with. I'm baking them as we speak at 210F in the oven to kill the sealent. Then will spray them black-out and hopefully find some replacement lenses so I have another set.
200degrees in the oven for 5mins or so and they come rite apart, i did it yesterday, im getting bored not being able to drive for 6 months so i got to do somthing haha
