Default SRT-4 lighting Specifications

Does anyone know where I can find out exactly what the current draw is on the turn signal/parking lights, reverse lights, side markers, headlights, etc. without physically removing the bulbs and looking at them?

Also, is there a source that shows what the maximum current draw can be for any of these bulbs?

Any info would be very useful

Thanks

Tony

Here's the list. I'm sure you can likely find the specs around on

I have been to there site, but I am not finding the specs I desire. I am looking at getting some of the LED bulbs from autolumination, but I do not want to exceed the stock current draw by much... Sylvania's site, if anything will show me what kind of draw their bulbs have, but I did not even see that info on their site other than for headlights..

Oh, well LEDs won't draw nearly 1/10th the current that the stock incandescent bulbs do. If you went LED, you're safe as far as current draw is concerned.

Besides, thats what fuses are for

I know the 3457/3157s are 27W. I don't know if that is with bith filaments (likely) or not.

I saw that they have a 3157 bulb that has 20 LEDs in it. Are you saying that each LED bulb draws 1/10th the current (20 x 1/10 = 2 times the current draw of the regular bulb) or the group of them together draws 1/10th the current?

Thanks!

The major issue with LEDS is not current draw but the amount of heat they produce. I know that is one thing we have been dealign with in looking at LEDs over the past few years.

noblebc is right, I put in some LEDs and actually started getting weird electrical warning signals like a bulb was out because they didn't draw enough current so the computer thought it the bulb was dead!

I believe that is why they make the LED load equalizers such as the ones seen here:

http://autolumination.com/equalizers.htm

I think that they are pretty much just a resistor that you wire up with the LED bulb so that there is a larger current draw than with just the bulb alone.
