Default Simple fix for those wanting their fogs on with highbeams

But to update this thread. Me and another member were discussing and we think this might be an overload possibly for halogen users because of both filaments going at the same time. That could be a possible overload on our weak stock system so I do not advise this for halogen folks! This is however safe for those that have bi-xenon HID in their car such as a bi-xenon retro or a 9007 hi/low HID kit. In that case it would be perfectly safe.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For HID bi-xenon people. Inorder to have your solenoid work properly and not shut down your lowbeam, you will need to place this diode from your highbeam wire to your lowbeam wire. In addition, this will also give you fog lights on with both low and high beam unlike the stock set-up where they used to cut off during highbeam operation.

Here's the steps involved.....

Step 1: Remove headlights

Step 2: Open up the loom that hold the three wires for the headlight plug.

Step 3: Place 6 amp diode in between the low beam positive (+) wire (purple) and the high beam positive (+) wire. NOTE- diode stripe goes on the low beam (purple wire).

Step 4: ENJOY! Your done!

Thought some of you might like to know this tidbit of info. I found it out when I was wiring up my bi-xenon solenoid hehe.

Wish granted

However after thinking this thru, this will also make your lowbeams stay on too. So basically when the highbeams are on, your highbeam filament and lowbeam filament in the headlight bulb PLUS fogs will be on.

HOW-TO: Ultimate Stock Fog Light Mod

Works just like that other mod, but is about a 5 minute install, and can be removed later if you so desire. I've been running that on my SXT for about 4 months now with out a single problem.

Just cut the green wire in half, and install your choice of switch assembly.

Car needs to be on btw, but switch to high beams and the fogs stay on.

Nice, but the way I'm showing eliminates the need for a switch.....I don't care for switches and all in my car if I can help it. Cleaner to me w/o it. If it works for you, thats cool.
