Does anyone have LED headlights. I had an HID coversion in my last car and its to damn expensive and annoying at inspection time. I was wondering how these compare to like silverstars and all those aftermarket headlights. I know they will last longer for sure since they are hid but I wanna know about vision and junk

LEDs debut in car headlights Steve Bush
LEDs are to be used in headlights for the first time as daytime running lamps in the Audi A8 W12.
This development opens up a whole new era in lighting technology. By the year 2010, these light sources will have won their place in dipped beam, main beam and fog lamps, too, said German lighting manufacturer Hella.
The closest thing you'll get to LED's in a headlamp housing is if you get cheesy halo projectors and I don't even think they make them for a 3rd gen neon. Don't expect to see aftermarket LED headlights for a long time.
Unless you want to take a crack at making your own...
dude I wouldnt even know where to start. Guess I could just get HIDS but they are such a waste of cash. Yeah they look kool and all but I dont think they would look all that good on a neon especially since it dosnt have projector light
Stage II, AEM Shortram, LED tails, Fiber Images CF Hood, Solid MM, MOPAR Short Shifter, Booger bushings, DC Sports Front and Rear STB, 3" Thermal Research Exhaust, 17X7 Falken Rims, Fuzion tires, 180 thermostat, BC Racing Coilovers, JMB hard pipes, HKS BOV...

Neither does the STi, the older Acura TL's and many other vehicles that use reflector housings with HID's.
Waste of cash...I think not. Light distribution might not be as perfect as using projectors but you will still benefit from increased lighting. And the whole blinding thing everybody talks about with fitting HID's in a reflector housing, just make sure you level out the beam and all is good. I've seen numerous HID conversion kits on the street with absolutely no glare or blinding light.
LED's would be fine for in town, But would not give any light output for Highway driving, Take a LED Flashlight and a regular flashlight, See which one gives better light in the dark. I'll Take HID's over LED's for headlights, And I prefer without a Projector(Better light dispersion for Highway/Back Country Roads. Gotta watch out for Deer!!!)
