Default Reverse lights went out.. ?

well backing up the other night, I noticed I had no backup lights on either side.. thought that was kinda odd. Checked the bulbs and all the interior fuses I believe.. Anyone else have this problem? or an idea on the fix.

yeah this happened to me right after I did my transmission.

Basically the reverse switch on the tranny was torn and it shorted out... try looking there.

good luck

I experienced this in my first gen, but I don't know if it's the same on the srt. The wiring, fuse & bulb, were AOK, it turned out to be the reverse light sensor in the tranny. It was a sensor, that I unplugged, unscrewed, once the seal was broken, sounded like a soda pop, and replaced. Hope this helps you. Laters.........

Hey guys I have the same problem after repairing my tranny, and a couple of days ago I noticed there was some connector just above the tranny that was not connected, I searched everywhere and couldnt find one plug where I could plug it so I left it there, I guess thats the connecteor for the reverse lights, where that thing goes???????????

It is on top of the trans, pointing down. It is towards the end, close to the case cap.

I had the same problem, I took it to the dealer and they checked everything, apparently the wires were corroded somewhere and they had to solder them back together.
