Default reostat, and leveling motors

i just got a line on some damaged ecodes for a mkiv jetta. ecodes have leveling motors inside which can manually for inside the car or auto w/ a reostat. anybody think this will work on our headlights if i everything out of the jetta lights ,and some how fitted them in mine?

I don't think it would work. On the ones in my Passat, they are built into the housing and have a gear system that connects to the manual adjuster screws. Was the neon exported in '03-'05? If so you may be able to try and source a set of those lights. I know the 1st gen exports had the leveling motors.

you'll have to check out how big the whole assembly is. there's barely enough room for a big projector (TL, E55) let along a leveling motor. i looked at keeping the leveling motor for my E55s but there's no way there's enough room.
