Default Removing lenses with eyelids

I'd like to take my headlight lenses off to paint the surrounds inside but i have eyelids on the lenses. Would they still be ok to stick in the oven and pry them apart or would my eyelids be ruined?

They should be fine. Vinyl can take heat as long as its stuck to something. I have vinyl on the injector cover for 8 months now and theres nothing wrong with it. Do you have depos or stock headlights? The stock lights wont open up in the oven.

Stock headlights wont open with the sealant thats in them. I had a junk headlight laying around, and I baked that thing longer than a turkey and it never opened. Maybe some of the stockers got a different sealant, but mine were too strong for heat to open them. The depos open really easily. 8 minutes in the over at 200 degrees and I had it open in less than 20 seconds.
