i've been doing retros for a few years now. but recently new techniques have arose that i have adopted. so i'm redoing marraka's lights with a e55's zkw lens, new housing, reflector, and audi r8 mod. completely black
reflector and oem e55 shroud
sprayed satin black. (flat black looked almost grey)
test fit
audi r8 mod (i didn't want completely to copy crystal)
note: this turn sig is just a test fit and will not be the actual one used in the retro
Hmmm.... I didn't think of it, but thats not going to be used as a turnsignal. but I guess it could.
Quit doind all the stuff to your car that I want to do!!!!!! Anyways can't wait to see them on your car with all the other stuff you are getting done. I can't wait for my retro's, well when I buy them and they start to make them.
That's pretty creative. Have you powered up the LED's & tested to see how they look? They are a pretty wide angle but I'm guessing most of your intensity will be upwards obviously.

Yeah he means that the light from the LEDs will mainly be projected upward and not forward so they'd serve more to light the inside of the housing than anything else.

are you cool with, or go you want me to change it?
Hmmm...I think I need to see them lit up & installed on a vehicle in order to make my decision. It looks really nice, but I want them to be useful. Because if they turn on when the low beam is on, wouldnt that look bad to on-coming traffic?
