Default RED interior lighting service and kits FS!

Hey guys and gals, I've been asked over and over if I'll provide the RED lighting mod as a service, so now I am Here's the thread that outlines the process...

HOW-TO: RED interior lighting: The real deal!

This service will be provided in one of three ways:

1) You send your cluster and OEM head unit in and I will mod it (in about 3 days turnaround time) and ship it back.

2) You send me a deposit plus payment and I ship out a pre-modded set, or just the cluster if you don't need/want a stock radio, and then I ship back your OEM parts and refund your deposit (I prefer this method).

3)
I can simply ship you a DIY "kit". You need so few actual parts to do this with, that it seems silly to go out and buy a giant roll of film to only use about 2 square feet of it for the mod.

What all is included with the kit?

New clear HVAC knob inserts (2 small, 2 large), (4) RED Neo Wedge incandescent bulbs (3 for HVAC area, 1 for defrost switch), enough red film and Mylar to mod the cluster, enough RED vinyl adhesive film to mod the OEM head unit

What is included with the service?

The same as with the kit, expect I'm either installing it on your components, or sending you a pre-modded setup.

Cost is $25 shipped for the kit and $85 shipped to the lower 48 for the complete service. If you only need the cluster, just the HVAC inserts, or whatever, I can give you a revised quote. Just pm me. FYI, most of the labor is tied up in the cluster, thus most of the cost is applied to it.

Many folks that I've talked to did the mods themselves, but didn't want to go through the trouble of making the HVAC knobs. HVAC knob inserts alone are $10 shipped.

These snap right in like the OEM parts

^^^ go from this, to this VVV

For an extra $10 I can also send you a super bright red 194 LED for the boost gauge. This is the same on that I have in my own Autometer gauge, and let me tell you, it's really bright.

*** I'm in the process of acquiring extra OEM clusters and radios. It may be a week or two before I have all the pre-modded units ready to go. I can still mod yours or send out kits in the meantime ***

How well does the gauge cluster light up? Any hot spots?

I'm interested in getting my cluster, knobs and defroster switch done.

Blue lighting doesn't require much work, just switch to LED lighting and you're good to go. The red is extra work because you have to defeat the blue-green color of the factory lighting, and that requires some disassembly and modification.

Can do! No hot spots at all. That's why I chose to do it this way. I've been down the LED route and have never been completely satisfied with the results. There is a really slight cool spot in the center, but it's seriously not noticeable. I can't even get it to show up in pics it's so slight.

Sign me up, then. In a couple weeks my car will be off the road for the winter. Once it's down I'll take everything out & ship it to you. I'll be in contact once I'm ready.

Changing the check engine and the warning lights requires simply swapping out the LEDs. The turn signals and highbeam indicator can easily be done along with the rest of the cluster.

I would like for every light to be red. It would look funny to have other colored lights there, imo. I spoke to you bout this. Do you have clusters ready yet? Or I can send mine in. How much more would it be for the additional lights?
