Received my DarkSyde 8000K VHO HID kit for my 05 EVO 8
Yes i am a former SRT4 owner. I currently own a lightning yellow EVO 8 which I got w/o the SSL package. I think mitsu ripped us all of by not giving us factory HID's so i decided to get me a set of 8000K VHO's from Ryan.
i have not installed it yet but all the equipment looks top notch, and very very easy to install.
i'm not stranger to HID kits since I have owned Phillips HID's in my previous sport cars.
Anyhow, I will install it this weekend when I have free time, then I will post pics up....

what color wires are on the stock harness off your evo... give me a call 253-508-0780 (ryan) ill walk ya through it
I'll keep your number handy. I'm too lazy to call now...
Actually I know its a dumb question and I can probably figure it out when I see my stock evo wire harness. when I unplug the OEM 9006 bulb, I will
look at the OEM socket, look for the + and - wires and hook up the HID harness accordingly. The - wire should be black, and the + should be red or white....something like that...then I will upgrade the OEM headlight fuses to 20 amp or 30 amp to protect the wirirng circuit.
i thought the evo's came with the 4100k hid system with the projectors?
the 03 evo's came standard with OEM hids, the 04-05 EVO's only get hids if you buy the SSL package...i.e the sunroof, sound system, and leather seat package..
be sure to post pics. I want to see the vho kit in a projector.
well, overall I installed the lights, removed the bumpers, wired everything up, upgraded the fuses.
Bottom line is that it looks HOT even in a projector housing. I also was wornink late tonight under a bright 300watt halogen lamp so it didnt look too bright to me.
What I need to do now is compare my HID kit to a stock EVO with HID's and I'll decide from there....
worse come to worse I will see if I can get 6000K bulbs instead.
