Default Question for people with HID kits?

since catz is the only people who make a hi/lo kit, i was wondering how everyone hooked up their hid's. i know i just hooked mine up to the low wire and i get no light when switching to the hi's.

i guess my real question is has anyone hooked both the hi and lo wires to the power wire on the hid. meaning you spliced the hi and lo wire together and hooked it up as one wire to the hid power wire.

im trying to debate if this would fry any of the electronics with the lighting sytem. im guessing if there was to much power the fuse would catch it. but this way i could run my lo's and then when i click my hi's i would still be using them.

Personally, i thought about getting the ones with teh high beams, but i came to the conclusion that it really isn't really nesscarry(SP?) IMO. Mine, were a plug-and-play kind...Took about 15 mins to hook up.

As a safety precaution you chould just short the red and purple wires together in the bulb harness.. that way you would not lose your lights if you accidentally hit the high beam.. although, it might quickly turn the lights off then on.. which I think is pretty hard on the bulbs+ballasts
