It is a retro . If you look closely it has still got the stock reflector. The interior of the stock bezel was also painted all black and the chrome turn signal reflector has been painted a satin silver. Those were either single xenon A6's or E46's with chrome OEM HID shrouds I believe. Can't remember. Those are old pics.
That style retro can easily be done. The only stipulation is that you have to use a smaller projectors and also incorporate the use of a stock OEM shroud to help cover the exposed bolts and hole that is going to bee seen from some angles on the stock reflector. My first try with the TL was originally going to still use the stock reflector. However, without hacking up the rear of the housing, the TL just wouldn't fit without hitting the stock clear outer shell. It can be done with other projectors though

has anyone done a retro with Acura RL lights? they are soooo bright....
