Default Projector Headlights with H1 HID kit help!

hi guys im pretty new to this and im stumped thought someone can help me out... i bought the projector headlights from modern as most people dont like lol but i installed a HID kit with H1 application... whatever i do i cant get the HIDs to come on... everything has been wired correctly... is it cuz the halos take too much power so not enough goes to the HID? or is it cuz my HID kit is only for low beams and the projectors have the high beams wired? thanks guys hopefully someone can give me some insight!

We need more info? I can guarantee it has nothing to do with the Halo's though, they draw almost nothing power wise.

What HID kit are you using? Are you also using an aftermarket relay harness or did you just plug each ballast into the factory headlight wiring? is the HID kit hooked up to the low's or high's?

hey thanks for replying so quick!.... ok so heres the deal i had hids installed before i got the projector/halo headlights which housed the 9007 bulbs... so since the new headlight unit uses H1 i got new hid bulbs that are H1... but i kept the old ballast... so i just replaced the bulbs... i hooked the positive and negative H1 connections to the ballast connection... its a pretty simple there is no other way to connect them so i know for sure i didnt wire it wrong... i hope what i said makes sense.... any ideas? oh and heres the kit i have.... I'd guess and incompatible ballast/bulb combo.

i believe its the same ballast for all light applications but i could be wrong.... i tried hooking up my 9007 bulbs back up and those wouldnt turn on either so im guessing its some kind of a power issue with the projectors hooked up...

i'd check fuses aswell...

if you don't have a relay, i'd be checking that and your ballasts might be burnt to hell. so i'd be checking your warranty too.

fuses i checked... relay i dont have but i didnt have it with my 9007 and they worked fine so not sure if its the lack of relay or not... and doubt the ballasts have burned cuz i was using it fine till i swapped it to H1 bulbs

do you still have the 9007 bulbs? throw those in there and see if they at least light up...that will eliminate the balast at least

Works the other way around. Running no relay will more likely fry the OEM harness, not the ballast.

As long as the bulbs plug into that style connector, they should be compatable. Even his old bulbs don't work now so the issue is either with the ballasts or the wiring (<---that's my guess).

Are you using a relay harness?

Do the lights flicker when you turn them on?

Do the ballasts click or hum when they turn on?

i feel like the ballasts dont even get any power for some reason they make no noise... the lights dont hum nothing happens... i feel like for some reason there is no power reaching them! i feel like it might be an issue with the the projector headlights power

lol, late night posting...

i meant if he didnt have a relay, check his fuses. and then check his ballasts.

sounds like your ballasts are smoked, if you've went back and made sure your connections are good then i'd be getting ahold of the company that sold them to you, or buying new ones.

i dont think its the ballast or the hid kit i think it has something to do with the projector unit and all the way its wired... does anybody have the same projector headlights wired up with hids? if they have any problems or not
