Default problem w/ optx underbody multicolor LED kit

this is the second car that i have installed the Streetglow OPTX Multi-color LED Underbody Kit on, and it has stopped working to the same effect as the last kit that I installed. It seems like something is wrong with the control box, because I cant change patterns anymore, and not all of the LED bulbs work under the car, but seqentially- for example, every 3rd LED within the bars doesn't light up. And sections of the lightbars wont light up- for example, 5 clusters of 3 LEDs (the kit produces all of its different colors from 3 different LEDs, so if you have them all on, you see red blue green red blue green etc) just aren't on. And I get some weird light displays on the control box itself.... weird, but essentially matching what the bars are lighting up underneath (duplicating that some lights are out).

I went to StreetGlow's website, and before i called them, noticed that they were sold out of the controller for this particular kit.... which makes me wonder if I'm not the only one who has been having this problem. I left the warrantee dept a message, I should hear back in about a decade heh

I have had the exact same problem on two separate kits (same style kit), which were installed on two different cars, my old 93 eclipse and the 04 srt4. I had fuses on both kits.

If I thought that I wouldnt have the problem again, I would just shell out the 20 bucks for a new controller, but I'm not 100% positive that its the controller that is the problem. Has anybody else had a similar problem?

they called back i described the problem to the guy, and he did agree that sounded like control box. he told me to fill out the warrantee page online and send it in, and they'd replace it. sweet.

so well see. worst that can happen is.... it still doesnt work.

its a dodge issue, the problem you are having is the ecu is throwing a particular code, this code is known as the anti-rice lighting modification code. If you continue along this path, your car will self distruct.

just joking bro
