Default Phillips Uliton's = no defrost?? help plz

Well I've noticed now that I can't use my defrost with my HID's on. Defrost will be on and then once the HID's come on, boom, defrost light goes out. Anyone else with the Phillips Ulitnons or HID's with this same problem? My friend ran the power wire to the power distribution center under the hood instead of going right to the battery, could this be it maybe? How has everyone else ran their power wire for the HID's? Thanks in advance!

Hey Trav, I just tapped the power off of the stock harness plugs and do not have this problem, but I also don't have your kit. I would guess that the lights are drawing to much power from where ever the power is being taken from, but short of tapping power from somewhere else I don't really know what to recommend. Good Luck!

hmm weird, yeah I'd re-route your power wire directly to the battery.

Yep, wired the power right off the headlight fuse under the power distribution center. I'll switch it to the battery and see if that does it. Thanks guys.
