Default Philips Ultinon HID kit. Would you consider it the best aftermarket HID kit?

I'm looking into different types of aftermarket H.I.D. kits. Yes, I know we dont have projectors and yes, I know putting in hid lights in a halogen houseing will look crappy blah blah blah.

However, since having the black bezeled headlights, i've noticed the light pattern isn't as spread out as the normal stock headlights. The beam isn't as aggresive therefore, i'm looking into a good HID kit for my car. Would you guys suggest the Philips Ultinon Kit to be the BEST aftermarket kit available?

I've looked into others (McCulloch, Blinglights, ebay crap, etc) and I don't just want anything that will just go to shit in a couple weeks or months. Any suggestions out there and anyone know any particular dealer that sells Philips Ultinons or anything better?

Personally... if you are looking for a single beam HID kit.. get it from thexenonstore.com. They offer a lifetime warranty on the kit. That says alot. The only bad thing is they don't offer it below 6000K.

I thought about those as well. Still debating on a few but wanted to get some insight on the Philips Ultinon kit since many in the past praised it. Now i'm getting no responses.

i'll keep searching...

The Philips kit was introduced on the market publicly about a year and a half to two years ago I believe. Don't quote me on that though . It is by far the best quality kit out there simply because it utilizes OEM components. However, just because its made by Philips doesn't gauranteee anything better in beam pattern performance versus say over another companies kit. This kit will still pose the normal problems associated with aftermarket plug and play kits despite it using superior components. Its still a rebased bulb which will not have the correct focal point which is one of the most critical aspects of HID lighting. Its still being used in a halogen reflector application so you know your not going to get the best results possible. Having said all that, you guys know where I stand with kits over a retro so I'm not going to preach to the choir. One thing I am going to praise on the Philips kits is that if you notice, they use a upgraded relay harness. They know its the only safe way to protect your cars o.e. electrical wiring. Just something worth pointing out...

In regards to the bulbs being Ultinons. Well, they are the best 6k bulb avaialble simply because they are made with the same care and thought they put into their standard OEM 4300k bulbs. Personally, 6k is the highest I would say anyone should go. Its right on the verge (sp?) of still useful lumens and a nice soft hue of slight purple. 4300k will always be the best performing bulb because it emits the most white and closest to pure sunlight color over any other kelvin in a bulb. But 6k isn't going overboard for bulb output color.
