Not SRT based but still a lighting mod I'm doing

I'm doing this for a friend and soon to be another option I'm going to offer my350Z.com forum members.
So far I've opened one and painted thed the top turn signal area. He wants the front chrome piece, the surrounds on the turn signals and the bottom of the main reflector painted black to blend with his black 350Z. I think it's going to look great and stealthy once I'm done!

To explain better what I'm doing I decided to photoshop a pic to show.

Here is a stock 350Z headlight.

Here is a rough photoshop of what I'm doing to it by paint.

So far here is the actual pics of what I've done....
Front top turn signal painted....

Side angle profile of it....

Another angle...

Here is a chop of the same pics as above only this time I photoshopped in the pain on the bottom and surrounds of the main bottom relfector...

And last (for now) a top shot of the painted turn signal piece. The gray looking area just past that is just an illusion from the flash off the camera ...

Here is the now painted outer trim bezel that goes inside the clear outer lens.

He knows the stock porjector/reflector design isn't the best but he's not willing to do a retro on them. Perhaps later on down the road or maybe he'll just buy the new style 350Z headlights which utilize a "real" HID projector and does away with trying to use a reflector in addition to a projector lens. The new 350Z headlights use the same projectors out of a Porshe Boxster-S, the same projectors I had up for sale

Anyways, here is the now painted bezel laid over the housing to give you an idea of the overall look. I haven't painted the bottom of the main reflector yet but it's just about done.

Got the painted bezel back in the other lens and placed it on top of the housing to give you an idea. I think it's great now seeing it with the lens back on. Can't wait until tomorrow when we put these back on the car!

Stock on the left and the custom one on the right...

Stock...

Custom...

These headlights make nice oily-like colors from the polycarbonate

That's gonna look sweet when they're back on the car. What's the deal with the small blue bulb next to the high beam? Little city lights/cruising lights? There's no bulb there from the factory is there?

Thanks. Should have his car here today for installed pics

As for the little blue bulb, yeah it's a little city light. They come stock with them but with a regular halogen bulb, not the blue one (that I don't care for ).

Unfortunately I didn't have time to go out and do a proper photoshoot to showcase them so we just ran down the road at this industrial park to take a few.
They look amazing in person!!!
Not too much and just right IMHO.

For fun ....
