Well, the other day while coming home I noticed that my signals were not working. I tried my hazards..same thing. After searching, I replaced the flasher relay..and they still don't work.
Replaced fuses..but when i change the fuse out, as soon as i either turn on the signal or hit the hazard button the fuse blows again. WTF?
one in the fuse panel on the side of the dash, one under the hood. check both
Yeah, i just went out meandering about the engine bay and interior and found both of them. The one under the bay was out..so I replaced it.
However, as soon as I hit the hazard button, a very faint horn sound briefly sounded and then the fuse blew again.
So, I have replaced both fuses, and the relay..what the hell?
I'm guessing it wasn't the relay, so i'm going to put the factory one back in and go buy more fuses in a little while.
Until then, does anyone have any other ideas on what this could be? It doesn't make any sense to me..
Multifunction switch? There a relay on the back of that, dont know what its for though lol. Or if the switch may be going bad? Otherwise a bad ground somewhere.

Ran into this prob when i put led in the rear lights. Relay in the back of the stearing colum went out eventualy replaced that and i was good to go and went back to stockbulbs
okay..so i changed my LED signals out with the stockers and the problem went away.
now, my question to those of you with LED knowledge:
since LED's draw less voltage than halogens, why is it blowing my fuses..mind you it only blows for the signal and hazards..just turning the driving lights on..they light up fine.
could this have something to do with halogens being dual filament while LED's are not?
i contacted the company i bought them from and am getting a refund..but the LED bulbs looked awesome and i would prefer them.
this is the first ever occurance i've ever heard of problems with my fix.....
do me a favor, take your led's, and take CLOSE UP pictures of them, if they ahve a clear casing, make sure you get a pic that i can see the insides well enough.
also, pull our your relay, remove the black case, and take a closeup of that as well...
if almost sounds like your led bulbs might have a short in them for some odd reason...
well i sent the LED's off to the company (superbright) to get them replaced under warranty..thinking that it might have been a short as well.
so when I get them back I will take pictures.
and i'll get a picture of the relay tomorrow morning because my car is getting some things done right now.
by the way, driving with no signals isn't very fun..or safe..or legal.
hah
yeah tell me about it! that happened to me one night when i was out in King of Prussia, PA. I met up with Ray and Scott back when they were doing RevItUp one night after i got off work at Sears and showed them the bulbs i got from autolumination, we all complained how dim they were, so i hit the turn signals.....nothing.....here it turns out, BOTH fuses had blown, all because of those STUPID 50W resistors they sell to "fix" fast flash...
sure it fixes it....it prevents them from flashing at all! problem solved, haha
