So I got a pair of TL projectors from someone else here on the forums (a pretty good deal, should I say steal?! ) and have been wanting to do a retro-fit for a while now, Ive modded the hell outta my headlights, I got my car, and then got HID's, but was un-happy with that, then I got the MpX projectors, was once again, un happy with the output with that, so I got HID's to go in those, and was once again un happy with that, so I figured that a retro was the only way to satisfy me! I came into the lighting section looking for information on a retro, and PM'd NJkiko for some info, we ended up talking for a while, and I asked him if he'd do my retro if I sent him all the supplies...
Here's some pics of what has gone down so far
What do you guys think?!
NJkiko, this threads for you too, so chime in whenever buddy!
Ohhh, and I figure the vast majority of you guys haven't seen a Bentleys projector output, with me being a valet, and working for a very high end restraunt, I drive sick ass cars all the time, and tonight was one of those nights...
I'm a bit jealous of SRT04JK's retrofit. I figured out a way to get the projectors PERFECTLY horizontally level without even having to test fit them in the car. My driver's side is fine; however, the right side of my passenger's side is slightly high.
Also...I'm sure he's going to post some pictures of the gutted reflector attached to the bracket soon, but I was also able to keep all three stock mounting locations on the reflector. I was only able to keep two with mine.
I templated the bracket...so I'm pretty tempted to open mine up and redo the bracket for mine. I'll be able to bang these things out pretty quickly moving forward if anyone else is interested now that I'm passed all of the trial and error and have templates to work from.
On a side note, why does everyone use plexi to vac form with? Is it because you can get it at the local Home Depot/Lowe's? Styrene work SOOOOO much better, but you'd probably have to order it.
