I want to use niteshade on my stock bumber lenses and my stock third brake light. Just want to know if some one has pics of this done and how it looks.
Get some light sandpaper and lightly sand the the lights before you start to rough them up a little so the niteshades sticks well. Be sure to spray lightly and evenly and sand after the first coat. Then depending how dark you want them depends how much of the can you use. Also get some clearcoat from an auto parts store because the niteshades will leave the lights looking very dull if you dont. No cooking or boiling of your lights or anything like that. The stuff is called VHT Niteshades and you can get it from Modern Performance, Summit or im sure a number of other places but you probably have to order it online, havent seen too many auto stores that carry it. I used the entire can of niteshades and I taped off the reverse portion because i think it looks better that way, here are some pics right after it was done.
looks nice with a clear coat. I'm definitely doing my side markers and third brake light..have to decide whether i'm going to get new taillights or just spray them. Any cops said anything to you?
heres a pic of mine i have the 3rd,tails and sidemarkers done... mine are very dark and have yet to be stopped by any cops...the pics dont do em much justice cause the car is really dirty but here u go
