This is just another TL retro I'm working on. Color modded and foreground modded. I have also included a video showing the use of the stock adjuster. a first for the TLs in the neon housing!! Short 4 MB video of adjustable aiming http://www.haknslash.com/pictures/HI...4/P1010014.MOV
the TL projectors and ballast will run you $600-$700 alone, then you need depos which are $200, then bulbs which are around $40, then either ship them to hak and he can do them for a small fee or get all the supplies and do it yourself.
those look good. they look really bright though. dont they bother other drivers?

They are no brighter than a regular Acura TL. They don't cause any glare because the light won't be in anyones eyes unlike thew stock neon headlight does once you put HID into it. This is why a retro is the safest way to upgrade to HID. You get the results you want and you don't kill everyones retinas.
PS- the head-on shots look VERY bright and appear to have glare but that is just because I'm in the direct beam showing the colorband and it overpowers my POS camera.
PSS- remember guys, that is only ONE projector being used in the pics, yet it pratically triples the performance you get if you were to just throw some aftermarket kit in the stock housing. With both projectors lit up....well...its a sight you'll just have to experience one day

And just to think, all that light is coming from just ONE headlamp!
I know...its great isn't it?!
I would love to do a set of LS430's. They aren't as powerful or colorful as some of the other projectors out there but they are by far the widest stock projectors out there!! Mmmmm nearly 180 degrees of useable light sounds tasty!! I must own a set one day
heh. i'm using the stock adjuster too! you should be able to reuse the rear rubber seal as well.
did you find that it pushed the projector forward too much? the e55's come quite close to the front cover. this makes making a decent bezel/shroud more difficult. i also found the depots adjustment screw to be misaligned with the adjustment hole and had to shorten it.

Yup still use the stock rubber piece. Though its basically only for looks now since there is still a way water would be able to get in if I left it like stock . You need to use some Nissan sealer on that piece after your done.
Not sure why your E55s would be coming close to hitting the lens. Wierd. TLs are GIGANTIC compaired to a E55 heh. The only time I had a issue with it sitting close to the lens was when I tried to incorporate it into the stock neon reflector. So out the stock neon relfector went and in came some modification to the lower adjuster
My DEPOs adjuster lines up fine. Not sure why your having issues with your DEPOs.

maybe the e55's are longer overall? i know that the back end of the projector bowl is fairly close to the hole in the housing so the stock rubber seal pushes up against it pretty tight. i'll use sealer as well anyways. we'll have to compare and see if we used the same way of mounting. with the e55's it's almost as if the projectors were meant to be mounted on the stock mounts. very little modification required.
the depots adjuster screw is much higher than the stock one. if the angle is off just a little it doesn't line up with the hole in the frame of the car. it's a hassle getting it in and out of the car as well. i just cut it down a bit and attached a nut.
i'm almost done my retro. too bad i had to work during the holidays. wait til you see how much hassle i went to to mount the ballasts!
