As far as these "G3" conversions , From what I have heard , they have yet to be fitted into a neon headlight yet , so the question as to whether it fits is still unanswered , as far as I know .
Im not happy about the fact that this site puts the profit margin of the vendors above all else , the wants/needs of the members seem to mean little here .
I need better lights , I cant afford a profesional retro . Period . So I guess I just have to drive around with dangerious lighting , putting myself & others at risk , so somebody can make an extra buck or two . Great .
Can somebody post up confirmation as to how they fit in our headlights , when/if that happens .
To the vendors , I WILL buy these if they fit & price point is good . Just the kit , not a completed retro . I will not buy a $500 retro , I dont care how good it is .

It is not the moderators or the administrators that set the prices the vendors pay. But not for nothing these guys pay hundreds of dollars a month to be vendors on this website...to a third party source.....to offer you their products. They deserve your business first. If you cannot afford what they have to offer or do not want what they have to offer then by all means search elsewhere for a cheaper alternative. No one is telling you that you have to buy from our vendors, it's your money, it's your choice.

The reason I left this thread here is just that, it's education about a cheaper alternative. If Crimson finds that they do fit even though they are 3/4" longer then you have the options of both the G1 and G3 projectors instead of a higher priced retrofit. A simple google search of them yields a decent amount of information of where to buy them if you so desire after receiving that information.

No one is forcing you to buy from someone or somewhere. You are free to buy things from wherever you wish, but non-vendor linking when we have people who offer retrofits is simply against the forum rules. If you paid hundreds of dollars to sell products on this site every month...you just might understand where this rule comes from because it would then directly affect you and part of your livelihood.

It's still useful, even if ever so slightly cluttered.

Peep's, if you've got a problem, pm an admin. Crystal has been far more courteous than she needs to be.

First off I would really like to thank LilSparkPlug for all of the info that you have shared with this forum and all of its members. Now i was wondering how to purchase these new projectors. I have looked around for a little bit now and only thing that i have found was to become a seller for their company. If there is anyone here that is already a seller or knows where to buy some share the info. The price that i saw was around 150 shipped from the company direct.

Thanks Adam

So delete it then, I only started this thread to help people out with an easy and cheap retro, not to start a pissing match because paying vendors are whining.

But wouldn't it be fair then to kill ALL threads of ALL products for sale on the open market that might be similar to what paying vendors peddle here if it might be a threat to their business?

What other competing products are being "hushed up"?

I was just trying to help out the community nothing more, SORRY.

What if I wanted to become and vendor and wanted to pay DOUBLE of that others currently do, do I get to squelch the other vendors or just complete side by side, like a capitalist society does?

please delete my original thread too if you would like, you will hear no more about these stupid chinese projectors ever again.

Thanks.

Not for nothing Crimson none of my posts were directed towards you. You didn't give me a hard time once in this thread, therefore you shouldn't take offense. I brought this thread back because of the information that you were providing the community about these. No vendors are whining, I am simply enforcing the rules on these forums.

I don't want to delete this thread, I don't want to lock it. I want people to know what's out there and what your experience is with them. That's why it's still here and I'm trying to handle the bickering within it...in a mature and constructive manner.

From this point forwards...keep discussion in this thread to these projectors....and information about them.

Hey Lilsparkplug, Im not trying to be offensive to you whatsoever, everything is cool, business is business, the owners of the forums want you to enforce certain rules, you enforce them, its not my place to criticize anyone for that.

I have just been a little passionate about a cheaper solution for safer lighting, I had a good experience with mine, and felt frustrated that there was a stifling of info of where they could be found thats all, I hope everyone can understand that.

I dont want to anger anyone here at all, thats one of the last things I would ever want to do here, Its a great community, and if i did that, I apoligise.

So i shot myself in the foot and ordered these have fun laughing at me if these dont fit/ too heavy but i will try my best also i know it may not look the best but i ordered yellow halos to match the amber parking lights and 3k foglights or 3500k-4000k whatever comes in the projector fogs and i got 6k hids but i might order a set of 4300k just to play back and forth with and see what i like better. oh and im gunna paint these my own custom color to match my black and red car... hopefully i dont accidentally paint the halo.

Put chapstick on the halo....or vaseline. Sounds silly but it works wonders . I'm intrigued to see if these fit honestly. Because I may opt for this solution for my Neon's headlights which I plan on retrofitting.
