Default neonelite10's satin black TL retro

He wanted something different so I used his existing painted bezel from his previous TSX retro and added a satin black to the plastic shroud to give some contrast. I like the end result. It's very clean IMHO.

Sorry for the fingerprint smudges in the lower left portion of the outer lens.

He wanted colormodded TLs so I removed the washer on them and got tons of color at distance. These bulbs are old colorshifted 4300k Osrams so his output is actually much better than this with new bulbs. My car was at an angle in my driveway taking this pic.

ooooooh.. The TL/ZKW set is so close I can smell it! BTW, what did we decide on for the paint scheme (if any) on my set?

You can't use aftermarket HID bulbs in an OEM projector. You must use an OEM bulb, and a cheap retro can run you $350, but the OEM HID's will be around $300+.

Yup, as he said you can't use say, an existing 9007 HID kit becuase it won't fit. Only a D2S P32D base bulb fits and that is a oem application.

Projectors depending on quality and single or bi-xenon can range from $90/pair all the way to $350+/pair. Quality of the beam/projector reflects the price. Then you'll need oem bulbs and ballasts. I would recommend buying those pieces new as you'll know your getting stuff that will work and last long. You can buy a complete Gen 3 pacakge (bulb, ballast and ballast protection covers) from hidplanet for $379 http://www.hidplanet.com/ballasts.html.

You can also buy some proejctors from there as well here http://www.hidplanet.com/oem.html.

If you want say a TSX, RL, LS430, etc projector that hidplanet doesn't carry, you can always buy them from their forum Buy/Sell section from forum members. www.hidplanet.com/forums (must register). It's much safer than say the other alternative, egay.

Also you'll need to upgrade the wiring as the car isn't designed to safely run HID or anything other than stock wattage & amperage. You can make your own harness for around $20 or you can buy one online from many places for around $45 for a good quality one.

I beleive I had asked you for something similar to black chrome. But at the time you were having trouble with getting the results you wanted. If you're still up to the challenge, the by all means go ahead with the paint scheme. Otherwise I'm all ears for Ideas you may have for an e-Blue
