I purchased the Streetglow Gold Series. Only paid $130 including shipping, and brand new. I installed them and they look really good. I got red. Few things to look out for:
1. On the side under the car you have the body lip. You should places the tubes behind the lip. If you put it in front of you the lip you can see the bulbs as you go down the road. If you put the tubes behind the lip you can't see the bulbs but the lights doesn't spread out as much. To me I don't want to see the bulbs.
2. Transformer mounting. You probably already noticed that their isn't a lot of room under the hood for mounting the transformer. Most people look for places under the hood to mount. I mounted mine on the drivers side near where the stock fog lights are. Their is a huge metal plate that you can drill into to mount the box.
3. Wiring. Wiring the switch through the firewall is probably the hardest part of the installation. Dodge doesn't give us much room to play around when adding new wiring. The best place that I found is, on the drivers side located near the steering column is a normal size boost that goes through the firewall. I just cut a small slit through the boost and pushed the wire through.
NO NO NO!!! You did it the HARD way. Here is how to easily install your neons.
1) Mount and drill all holes in the side flares, front lip, and in the rear (remember, higher in the body = better)
2) Lift your windshield wipers
3) Unscrew the 3 or 4 bolts holding that plastic trim below the windshield
4) Remove the plastic trim
5) Inside, you will see a mesh grill with a hold behind it
6) Simply buy the strong carpender foam double sided tape, and secure your transformer here. (passenger side)
7) Remove your dashboard by removing the 4 screws, and both pillars (these pull off, but be careful)
8) Under the dash cover, you will see a plastic tube in the center (this is the front defroster).
9) from the inside, run a clothes hanger down along side the plastic tube until you are able to pull it out thru the grill under the hood mentioned in step 8. 10) Attach the 2 wires that you will use for your switch to the hanger, and pull it through
11) Place the switch wherever u want (I put mine in the glove box).
12) be sure to pull the wire fairly tight, and use lots of electric tape to assure that it will hold the wires in place.
13) Run all wires from the light tubes to the transformer (avoid placing these near the exhaust, they WILL melt)
14) Screw all 8 wires into the transformer
15) Attach your gound from the transfomer to any of the nearby grounds
16) now, pull your hot/live/red wire all the way accross the front to the drivers side, and allow it to run behind the wiper assembly. You will be able to pull it down and to the side, and connect this inside the fuse box (DON'T FORGET THE FUSE THEY GIVE YOU!!!)
17) Reconnect and attach all parts, and enjoy.
I will take some pics, and can help u if u need!
