Default Neipas09 - info on morrettes

Since your original post went to shat i will give you my complete opinion on the Morrettes.

Hacknslash is right when he said the low beam lighting is pretty weak but just slightly less than stock. You can adjust the lighting a bit with some washers which helps a little.

As for the price, well you look at any set of morrettes and you are paying that kind of money if it is for a Suburu, Audi , VW or and SRT-4. I know guys in the Impreza club around here and they pay about $500CAN for Morrettes on their car.

The low beam uses an H4 bulb and when you turn on your high beams you have the H4 and H1 bulb lighting the road for you. The light output from the high beams are insane. It is like daylight. Also fun to use when you have other people coming at you and wont turn off their highs. They Soon realize once you flash your high beams that they should shut theirs off.

So in the end when it comes to the look of the lights and the output of the lighting i say they are well worth it even if they are halogen but you can alway add HID to the for about another $400 - $500 for a decent kit. Which we will be doing before next summer.

Hopes this help some people when it comes to decided if they should fork out the cash or not.

Thanks for the info.

Would a bulb upgrade for the lows help the output any?

Also, add a fog light mod and that would take care of most shortcomings the low has.

Morrettes for my 99 Ford Contour SVT were $750 unshipped, I would consider this cheap or just about right. Too bad to hear about the weak beam, I still will def consider these lights.
