dual hi/low hid "kits" are pointless

only way you can have high beams worth anything is to go with bi-xenon with "real" HID equipment or back to stock halogen.

It's a shame they don't make any good looking projectors besides the e-bay ones. I haven't looked recently, but how much roughly would it cost to make your own following the how-to (I think there's one)

Lets see...

I think I paid the following..

250 shipped pair of acura TL projectors
200 shipped new DEPO headlight enclosures
150 shipped lexus ballasts, ignitors and bulbs love egay
50 shipped misc wiring stuff to make a harness
15 various hardware bits for custom stuff
10 trashcans

think that's about it. They're not done yet, but are close, but when I'm done... I'll have nice light output that will put those wussy 8000k bulbs to shame.

Buy the projectors when you can find a decent price then get the headlights. The price on the new DEPO headlights is pretty static... but the projectors go up and down depending on WHO is selling them... hidplanet is a good place to check out for projectors or ebay.
