With each retro there is extensive amounts of time, labor, & care invested to give you the improved lighting performance or jaw dropping looks you desire. Ican create a custom headlight with OEM looks all the way to complete one-off designs.

There's two places to start. Determine the headlight you want to use & I'll let you know what projectors will fit. We can also go backwards by starting with the projector you want and from there I'll help you to decide what headlights will be best suited. I'm slowly getting pictures together so PM for details if you're not sure what something is or means?

The price to add the extra's like LED's, Painting, etc... is cheaper when doing a retro because I'm already in there to do other stuff. I already have the headlights opened up & I'll have to seal them back anyway. If getting upgrades without having a projector retro done then you'll obviously need to pay a small labor charge. Labor (open, install, & re-seal) = $75

LED's, CCFL's, Upgrades
Pricing for JUST the LED or CCFL Ring Upgrades on Ebay/ MPX /Style A Projector Housings.

CCFL Rings $15 each x 4 = $60
Inverters $7.50 each x2 = $15
Labor (open, install, & re-seal) = $75
TOTAL = 150.00 + Shipping

LED's $12.50 each strip x 4 = $50
Rings $25 a pair x 2 = $50
Labor (open, drill 64 holes, install, & re-seal) = $100
TOTAL = 200.00 + Shipping

That might sound a bit expensive at first so I broke it down so you can see that there's no real "fluff" in the price. It's about 3-6 hours of work... really I should be charging triple for labor. If interested you can send me your projectors & I'll mod them & send back. Another option is purchasing directly from Modern Performance & sending them straight to me.

What are the differences between the MDX and RX330 projectors (pros & cons)? What is the curved shield? How much extra do you anticipate the HID kits being?

Actually they are very similar. 2 significant differences though.

The MDX were made for H11 Halogen bulbs & the Rx's are made with D2S HID bulbs. D2S's are prefered when converting to HID's as they allow you to use genuine Phillips bulbs which are higher quality then re-based no-name china bulbs made to fit for the H11 socket.

Also the MDX's have what are called "squirel spotters" which are basically long rectangular slits which let a small amount of light peek through & shine above the cutoff. Since Halogen bulbs are dimmer this is added to allow you to see street sighns etc...

The Rx's don't have these as the brightness of the HID's would blind people if it leaked light above the cutoff.

Will be trying to convince the wife to allow me to get the TL or E55's. Just have to come up with a plan on why I need them. By the way what are the differences in out put on the TL's and E55's?

There's an amazing comparison thread done by JVX over on HIDplanet. He's master at comparo's & his photograpghy is excellent. It's a must see if you're wanting to know about Bi-Xenon projector differences. There's about 10 different models tested. FYI- I believe it'll make you register in order to view the thread but it definately worth it!
