Default my first taillight retro

just really simple to start out. i have a set of these...
eBay Motors: 03 04 05 DODGE CHRYSLER NEON ALTEZZA TAIL LIGHTS SRT4 (item 360048273457 end time May-05-08 20:19:43 PDT)
and i traded a set of stockers i had lying around for them, so no real cost. i finished school last week and need something to occupy my time, so last night, i cracked em open (oven) 250˚ for about 7 minutes and they came right apart. i masked off the red parts, removed the red stuff i could, and then painted the whole housing black. what i'm debating now, is whether or not to put a design of some sort on the large red circle right in the middle. like a Mopar "M' that's not tinted, and tint the rest. another thought was to use a valeo projector from say, a set of vette foglights, and retro those into the housing as reverse lights. and maybe a set of red halos around the large red section. what do you guys think?

i'm thinking i'll save the valeo retro for another retro, but i'm looking into some ccfl halos. anyone know if those can be powered by a car battery? the applications i'm seeing are talking about needing an inverter, as well as a ton of voltage.
