ok I just got my ebay projector fogs in and apart and i repainted the reflector and took some thicker lenses off oem foglights cause these glass ones are like less than a 1mm thick and would probably break if i hit my ring on it. well i was just wondering if anyone has removed the cutoff from these fogs before cause seriously? are cutoffs required on fogs? i dont think they would blind people considering they are aiming downward and they dont look brighter than oem ones but just wondering dont want to blind ppl. this would be with the little bulb they come with not hids.... yet atleast...
The output on the eBay fogs is miserable. I imagine removing the shield would make them mildly annoying to oncoming traffic at worst, and that's only if you're running HIDs in them. With halogens you can barely tell they're on. Go for it.
Cutoffs keep the light where it is supposed to be aimed rather than having it dart all over creation. The light would be virtually useless without the cutoff directing them where they need to be aimed.
I don't get miserable output with mine, maybe it's because I have 3000k HIDs in them but I was impressed with their output.
^^^ Mine aim right at the fucking ground. And, as you know, they have little to no adjustability. I can't even see them on the road they're aimed so low. I think having no shield would actually make them ever so slightly usable (for me. at least).
I really cranked down the bolts so that they stay up a bit higher. They really don't have much adjustment but they're way better than stock. Do you have HIDs in yours Wiggz?
i think there h1s maybe? idunnos im lazy theyer on the ground on the otherside of the room.. hey i decided not to cutoff the shield cause light will go everywhere like literally its like haveing a candle as a foglight kinda like a spotlight flashlight almost sept instead of a nice round pattern its like all spewd up so im gunna place a piece of aluminum on the lens and stick it there it seems to do better and its a lower cutoff so more light.
Most folks use Photobucket to host them. When you upload a pic it will give you link options. Use the one that looks like and paste it into your post
