Modern Performance Projectors

My girlfriend recently bought me the Black Housing Projector Headlights from ModernPerformance.com. It said it was a H1 bulb housing, so I ordered a H1 HID Kit.....Sad thing is the H1 HID Bulb didn't fit at all....On the Back of the Headlight Housing it says "HID Bulb Not Compatible"....So does that mean I can't use HID's on these projectors? I have seen other people on here with them on, before and after shots, but my question is this.....Is there a special bulb size I need to order, or is hacking a big part in this "retro fitting" game. If anybody can help me out, please do so. Those of you that have these projectors and have HID's on them please let me know what you did in order for them to fit properly. Thanks

To tack onto his question, can the the headlight housing handle the HID beam? I thought I read somewhere that they could melt the plastic.

35w hids im pretty sure run cooler than halogens but the 55w hids do get a little hot but im sure the projector can handle it im not EXACTLY. my friend has the halo projectors with 6000k hids and his hold up just fine but his headlights are literally falling apart from being cheeply made lol and his leds are all out. his projector is ass backwords or spun sideways or something cause his cutoff is up and down not horizontal. but not melted.

I have the halo's with an HID kit. You will have to file the metal part where the bulb sticks in a tiny bit. The 2 pieces of metal connected are slightly different sizes which is why the bulb wont fit (barely a mm or something like that).

I have the Halo Black Housing Projectors.....I already have 10k Low Beams on my black housing OEM headlights....I just wanted to get a HID kit that would fit the Halos, so I can have that extra edge lol......I always get the 35watt Kits too....55 watt burn way to hot and would melt the plastic. Yeah that guy who has the 6k on his Halos projector, does he have pics of the install from behind the housing or anything? I really wanna ride with my Halos with HID's.

I used a drill and a drill bit and opened up the bulb housing area.....now it fits perfectly.....now i have shavings inside the housing itself...nothing a little compressed air and a vacuum won't fix

Yeah I just recently got my ride painted about 2 weeks ago....it use to be black, but me and my buddy who paints for a living sanded down to bare metal almost, primered, and painted it to stone white....It looks absolutely sick....
