Default Maxima HID retrofit

Hi all, I've tried a search and haven't seen anyone who's done a Maxima bi-xenon retro. I'm thinking about trying this but am unsure if the projector will even fit in the housing or can be anchored there. if i remember correctly these use the hella units. also anyone know how these stack up against the tl's (which seem to be the norm here) quality and light wise. hak?

They are the same as E55's. They are just a revised version of them. They do not compare to TLs on any level performace-wise.

They will fit and could maybe sit inside the stock reflector bowl but it would be a tight fit. You would be better off ditching the stock reflector bowl and making mounts for it to sit inside the housing then make your own shroud/enclosure to cover the area.

Maxima projectors are very colorful and have a excellent high beam. They are a good, decent, entry level and affordable projector. Typical price range is about $120-$160 out on the market. I would not pay over that.

thanks for the info, hak. i'd planned on ditching the chrome reflector to make them fit. they look pretty large. hmmm, maybe i'm better off paying a bit more and going with the tl's instead. for the amount of work i'd have to put in, i'd think i'd only want to do it once.

FYI, TL's are larger than Maxima projectors

They are the largest of all bi-xenons.
