i have done this on my civic..you basically just need to paint the inside..i used my oven to break the seal of glue around the headlights then when done i pushed together and heated them again to be able to put back together..
Hmmm, strange you got them open. Consider yourself a lucky man!
I haven't had luck yet. I know some of the newer Valeo headlamps in other cars are now being able to be opened so I wonder if maybe you got a set of headlighhts with a different seal than most of us?....
If this holds true for the alot of neon headlights from here on out than this will dramatically save people on doing retros by $200 easy!
^^That's what I would suggest doing. You might even want to take it a step farther and take out as much silicone glue as you can while it's still warm. Then when you are finished you use brand new silicone. This is what I did on my previous car. If going with the black paint, I would suggest the black silicone. It looks like the guy with the yellow car used clear.
I really want to do this(because I did it to my gst's headlights) I'm jus worried about fucking mine up and being without headlights for a while and a couple hundred $$$.
do u have to clear coat them or did u just use flat black,do u need hi heat spray paint cause im bout to go to wal mart and get some cause theres nothing else to do so i hope i dont mess up my headlights......
