i have done this on my civic..you basically just need to paint the inside..i used my oven to break the seal of glue around the headlights then when done i pushed together and heated them again to be able to put back together..

Hmmm, strange you got them open. Consider yourself a lucky man!

I haven't had luck yet. I know some of the newer Valeo headlamps in other cars are now being able to be opened so I wonder if maybe you got a set of headlighhts with a different seal than most of us?....

If this holds true for the alot of neon headlights from here on out than this will dramatically save people on doing retros by $200 easy!

btw, ppl with other color srt4s would look sick color matched, havent seen that yet, well with projectors.

well these were the headlights off of my 03 so not a later set just need patience and a steady hand take your time and you can do it

that is all that i did throw them back in fir a little and then close them up cause when i did it the plastic on the back deformed

yep re heated them a bit and also ran a small bead of silicone just to be sure they are leak free

^^That's what I would suggest doing. You might even want to take it a step farther and take out as much silicone glue as you can while it's still warm. Then when you are finished you use brand new silicone. This is what I did on my previous car. If going with the black paint, I would suggest the black silicone. It looks like the guy with the yellow car used clear.

I really want to do this(because I did it to my gst's headlights) I'm jus worried about fucking mine up and being without headlights for a while and a couple hundred $$$.

do u have to clear coat them or did u just use flat black,do u need hi heat spray paint cause im bout to go to wal mart and get some cause theres nothing else to do so i hope i dont mess up my headlights......
