Default little help with lights (hid heads/stock fogs w/wire switch)

so i got a generic pair of hid's from a friend recently and i'm really excited about putting them on. they're 6000k and they're pretty much plug and play as far as i can tell because they came off of my friends srt4 so they're already wired and ready for action. and yes i searched but its hard to search threads for three letter words such as fog, mod and hid (lol).

My question is about wiring. I'm not trying to have my car catch fire or anything. I have done the fog light mod by way of the wire switch and I love the way the car looks with just the fogs and parkers on. I haven't had any problems so far but i'm not sure if it's okay to hook up the hid ballasts and what not with the oem fog/headlight wires switched.

Can anybody lend an opinion on this? it wouldn't be an issue to switch them back i just need to know because i am very eager to get this project taken care of.

bump... nighthawk, hak, sparkplug...anyone? or should i take the lack of response as a suggestion to err on the safe side and fix the wires anyway?
