LEDs Illegal? - SRT Forums

Does anyone know what the SAE Standard J578 actually says? I got a ticket today for red leds in my grill. Can't see the leds themselves just the glow. Ga code 40-8-34 states lights must be in accordance with the SAE standard but everyone wants at least $75 just to get it to read!!! SCAMING ME OF MY FRIGGIN' MONEY ONE WAY OR THE OTHER!!

no the LED's are not illegal but the red light probably is, same as blue.

You can only have white or yellow light coming from the front of your vehicle. Has nothing to do with your LED's.

yup when i was in GA at airborne school i got popped in bamma on the boarder going to the back gate for red/blue neon its illegal if its to the front/rear i was told... impersonating an officer....
