Lightbulb LED Question

Alright, I went through every possible search to find the answer and had no luck so now I will ask. I am looking to replace some of the other bulbs in my dash. One being the seatbelt bulb to the one that changes to seven different colors ( forget to put the damn thing on sometimes) Now the great instruction book for the car lists those bulbs as just LED and not 194. Anyone know what bulbs are in the warning lights and such? Thanks.

Bumping it again. To anyone who put in the blue dash lights. The other bulb in the cluster are they also 194's or are they a different variety?

Still 194's hmmmm....looks like I will just order one of the color changing 194's and see what happens. Hopefully then I will have the idiot proof idiot light.

If I recall correctly all the warning lights are actually direct mount LEDs soldered to the PC board. The only way to change one is to solder in an actual replacement LED of the same size. Peace Murf

(atleast on an 04)

They aren't 194's and they aren't directly soldered on the board. They are basically bare leds that are mounted on a base that can be removed by turning it (very similar to the bulbs in the HVAC). Its easily possible, but unless I remove mine again and really look at it I won't be able to give you any more helpful information.

Yeah when I was looking at the pic of the back of the cluster it looked to be that they can all be removed, just the plain question of what they are replaced with. Emailed Chris at autolumination and he was not sure and told me to bring it up here. Guess when I pull it apart to put in the blue bulbs I am just going to have to take a peek.

I just did my blue dash mod, and pulled out the light bulb for the seatbelt. It would appear that I may just be able to soder in a 194 bulb into it. Will hit up Chris @ autolumination to see what he thinks. Thanks to everyone for the help.
