Default LED 3rd/High Brake Light Questions

I did some researching tonight on our LED 3rd/high brake lights...spent about 2 hours (well, I was looking at HID retro info. too...). Anyway, as I see it, there are only two styles (with variations) out right now and they are fairly new.

"ptperformance" - has directional function...VERY BRIGHT...lots 'o bulbs...

and

"other one" - 17 or less bulbs...no directional...two rows...very basic

My question...I just bought some LED tails (haknslash) and I am guessing as soon as I get them on the car I'm going to hate the stock 3rd/high brake light. Which one of these above will MATCH better? I'm pretty anal about the car being "even" or "clean" looking...which means...if the LED 3rd/high brake light is three times brighter than the LED tails, that will look stupid. Likewise, if you can barely see it...you get the picture...is there even that big of a difference in brightness of these LEDs? I know the ptperformance ones look great and SUPER bright...but is it overkill? Just wondering if anybody has some ideas/answers or have these installed.

I guess I may have to do some experimenting...do the LED tails light up before (just slightly) the 3rd/high brake light? Obviously the LEDs will light up quicker than a standard bulb...but is it noticeable?

satellite: i would go with either the ptp or "other one" just so the brightness will match. and i would assume it would light up about the same time the led tail's will. try ptp first. if it dont work out how you want it i am willing to bet he would let you return it if not satisfied.

I went ahead and ordered one of these. I think it's the same style you are talking about. Got a link or pics?
