Sure. Like I said, the LEDs are 11,000mcd, so 20 of them should be around 220 candlepower. They are around 50 lumens per watt, so the array should be good for around 90 lumens. I figured this was a good balance between complexity and brightness.
I thought about using point-source or water-clear red LEDs, and may another day, but I don't have any handy. The first one is going to be done on perfboard, but I may make future iterations on a PCB. If anyone can hook me up with a full version of EAGLE, let me know
This project stemmed from my original desire to have a high-rate pulser for the 1st 1/2 sec that the 3rd brake light is lit. Motorcycles and commercial vehicles with LED tails have this feature. I have a circuit and PCB artwork ready to go but I'm gonna finish building the array first
