Default just put in my fog light switch

Well I used to have the fog light mod Fog Light Rewire (EASY)
but I was tired of not being able to turn my fog lights on when ever I wanted so I just put the wires back to normal except for the wires that go to the fog lights and I just took a switch and hook it up to the fog light wire and then hook up the ground and a power (I ran a wire from the battery to test it but tomorrow I will find a constant power wire) and it worked fine. Now I can turn my fog lights on whenever I want, the key doesn't even have to be in the ignition and fog light indicator still comes on like it?s supposed to and my fogs stay on when I do my high beams. I have read through all of the fog light mod posts and this seems like it was by far the best one of them all but im wondering why no one has done a write up on it??

Thats all good , UNTIL one day when you leave your fogs on & come out to a dead battery.
