Default Issue with led tail lights

just got a set of led tail lights and im having an issue i thought you guys might be able to help me with. when i hit the brake light they turn on but then brighten a moment later. why would they do this and any suggestions on how i might correct it would be appreciated.

It is completely normal. Turn your p[arking lights on and it's not as noticeable. It's just something with the LEDs they used I believe but whatever it is, it's completely normal and not even that noticeable. I think because they are new to you that your looking closely and inspecting the tails but an average person probably wouldn't even notice that little less as hella bright->hella brighter effect they do.

I wouldn't worry of it or try changing them out just because of that but if you want to mess with them, use my how-to on how to open them safely.

Mine do it too.........its normal..........we wont even go into all the crazy "clicking" noises they make when applying the brake pedal.

LOL, that clicking noise is the built-in heavy duty flasher. It's there so you don't get the annoying 'rapid flash' often found with using LEDs as a replacement for your incandecent bulbs.
