Default Installed Silverstar headlight/signal with Eurolite fogs...my impressions

First off, the eurolite fogs match the silverstar headlights just about perfectly. The fogs are much brighter then the stock low watters.

First i did the headlights-
noticeably whiter in color than stock. Does seem to put down more usable light. It isnt like WOW but i can see the difference. I think they would stand out on the roads compared to other cars. The light temperature (color) is quite obvious.

Then i did the silverstar front turn signals-
These are my favorite. Sounds funny but its true. These totally changed the look of the whole headlight assembly. No more cross-eyed orange eyes! The new bulbs are blueish and look quite hot on my eblue. The color is MUCH more subtle than the stock orange. They are very bright also. Nice upgrade

Last i did the eurolite fogs-
These look more impressive from outside the car than inside. They seem to put down about the same amount of light as the stocks but its much whiter. But from the front they look brighter than the headlights. They look much stronger than the 37 watts they are rated at.

Whole package-
Glad I did it and consider it worth the money spent. The car puts down more light, has a cool new look with the signal bulbs, plus it stands out more at night due to the light temperature.

i give this mod the thumbups!

Yeah, most people say that the Eurolite fogs match PIAA Xtreme Plus bulbs. I'm going to go with those 2 as well as the Silverstar turn-signals.

I'm running the same setup...Silverstar Headlights with Eurolite fogs. Love it. But I really can't wait for my replacement Silverstar fogs to come in.

I have to agree with you on the Silverstar signal bulbs Racin-Jason, much better looking than the stock amber bulbs.

maybe i am stupid but the fog lamps are H10's right? I can not find H10 bulbs anywhere. Where is someone getting the silverstar fog lamp bulbs at? I am waiting on the other bulbs to come in for it. But the fog lamps are killing me.

I was thinking about getting the silverstar head's too. Thanks for just confirming my thoughts! Question about the turn lamps...are they still street legal, cause I know some non-ambers are such as colored bulbs? BTW...I'm pretty sure the pic I'm using is your's racin JASON. Don't mean to steal it, but I just LOVE the picture...it's a great shot. Wanted to give you props on it!

The Silverstar fog lights are part # 893ST. The turn signal bulbs, part # 3457AST, light up amber.

OK,

Every person who replaced the fog bulbs has said they've burned out.

I was waiting for someone to chime in here...I thought that I found a fog bulb that didnt blow up after awhile...I know the silverstar fogs suck...

and I guess these eurolights suck too..well maybe not, but they burned out for Bill.

Anyone know of replacement bulbs that actually last?

Sylvania has redisigned the Siverstar foglights bulbs. Check out their spot under vendors. The new ones should be in stores very soon.

Yup, those of us who had them burned out will have them replaced free by Sylvania with a new batch of 893ST bulbs. There was apparantly a manufacturing problem with the ones we bought.
