Default Installed HIDs

Hey I just installed some HID's in my srt. Now the high beam indicator comes on and I can turn it off. Any ideas?

Sounds like wiring related. Who's kit and did it come with a harness to plug into the 9007?

I got them from Xenon light source. Yes it did have the 9007 harness. However I suspect it has something to do with the fact that I did the ghetto foglight mod. I switched the foglight and headlight wires. But I don't think it would have any effect on the high beams seeing as I didn't have any problems before the install.

Unpimp Z' auto.

take the ghetto mod out/switch the wires back. It will probably work correctly then. Then to get your fog lights fix, do it the right way, with the relay.

I will be a happy camper the day neon owners quit cutting corners

cutting corners?? Hey at least I soldered the wires and used heat shrink. But whatever the light doesnt bother me. If something catches on fire and my turbo neon burns to the ground next to me then I'll buy a new turbo neon and do it the right way.

You still cut corners by not putting a relay on it and doing it the right way, hell, if you want your fogs to come on anytime, just put a new harness together and rout a switch on your dash to it and a relay.

Now c'mon, don't take it so personal.

You even said yourself its a ghetto mod .

The fog mod is done in way that I would never do on any car. Switching wires like that can lead to issues later on down the road. Granted for our car its a small issue like the high beam indicator being on if you go to HID. But what is you get a voltage spike and send current backwards to somewhere it wasn't originally designed to go now that you've swtiched wire sources? Just a method or practice of install you won't ever catch me doing. I take precautions and the little extra time to do it right the first time so I don't have to go back later on and undo le ghetto.

It is good that you went the extra step though and soldering and used heat shrink .
