depends if you want high beams........TL's are high lows, and TSX's are lows only.

I've only seen the TSX's in person, and I freaking love them!

Extremely bright, and great color.

I saw the RL's... they looked better than anything I've ever seen. I wonder how different they are than the TL's...

haha what a coinki-dink. I have done this comparison before. I thought I posted it here but I guess I just posted it on hidplanets forum.

to answer your question. Just look at the pics!!. TLs low beam overpowers the TSX by a long shot. The TSX is wider and shaprer but you'll soon learn that is of no real concern if your serious about the performance. The TLs also give you high beams. So yes, to me, they more than are worth their price. I own both projectors and TLs are hands down my favorite projectors out there. They are what I consider the best all around projector.

Yup, another great comparison for your viewing pleasure. Up to bat we have modded (foreground and color mods) TLs on the driver side and on the passenger side we have washer modded TSX's. Both bulbs used are older and have about the same hours of use on them since bought new.
Now lets let the pics do the rest of the talkin'! And this is for all of those out there that say TL's are over rated or don't put out more light than TSX's =D> [-X

Same shutter priority settings on the camera.

TL's

TSX's

TL's

TSX's

And now for some of my famous cardboard comparison shots where I basically hold up a piece of cardboard blocking each projector from blending over to the other projector. This ensures that the camera will take the exact exposure for each projector and will put an end to any disputes of people blaming anything on the camera.

TL's on the left and TSX's on the right. (You'll notice that the TSX step is higher and off to the left. This is because these are two different retros and they haven't been aligned together)

Yes RL's are different. They are low beam only. They are similar to TSX's but are better.

I'd like to try out a set of RLs. They have a very unique shroud made onto them that leaks light out in slots all aorund it. Very unique looking.

hey hak,

are you still doing the rs6 retros?

i think i saw a post w/pics by you (if not this forum, then another) -- they looked great and i think they looked better than the TL's. The rs6's are also bi-xenon (hi's & lows) right?

pm me please and let me know.

thanks.

RS6 I'm not going to do again. Its a paint to work with.

E46 bi-xenon i'm not going to do because of how the solenoid sticks out from the back. Too much hacking up of the rear housing.

E55s and TLs is a big difference. I'll try and take some time out this week to do the comparison for your remax. BTW, I just placed my offer on a home and I'm using re/max first choice
