Default How to open up stock taillights

Anyone attempt to do this yet?

I'd like to attempt to open up my stock taillights.

Give it a shot. I've been curious to see if they can be opened. I know there was one member that did a LED retro in his tails but wasn't my stlye the way he arranged them so maybe they can be opened. Try one and if it works, please take pics and post them here and send them to me. I have a few ideas for tail light LED projects.

I did it, its surprisingly easy!

I'll post pics after my retro fit

no need, even EASIER than that, I was surprised.

I used a hairdryer and a flathead screwdriver.

I was hoping that the headlights would be the same but by the posts I've seen so far its probably not

Yeah, hair dryer isn't going to open up your stock headlights, thats for sure

Great find. Nows I know the word on the tails. Going to start my LED retro on them one day. Let us know what you do with yours when your done and take pics
