I picked up a new set of xenon fog lights for my SRT. They have a bunch of wires going everywhere with their own switch, but I'm not too sure how to install this stuff. Does anyone know where I'm suppose to run all of the wires too? Is there someway I can run the wires to my existing foglight switch without having to use the one provided with these? Keep in mind I don't currently have the physical fog lights on my car because the guy before me changed out the front bumper.
The foglight harness should have a think black wire for ground and a red wire for remote power coming from the switch. These wires go to the pull in coil sides of the relay. It should also have a small harness deal that leads to a 4 prong squarish connector that the relay plugs into. The foglights should also have a black wire that grounds out the actual lights themselves. To get power from the stock fog light switch, you need to find the wires that ran to the stock foglights and run the red wire to the wire that recieves power when the switch is on. You will also need to run a power wire to the thicker [10-12 guage] wire that feeds the relay. Its usually a red wire going to one prong on the relay connector. Then there should be 2 wires usually white that go from one of the prongs to the foglights.
This is how most kits are set up anyway...

Thanks man. I just got everything installed, and BOTH fog lights were working when my fog light switch was on. I disconnected my negative terminal on the battery (since I was doing some engine work too), installed my front bumper, and hooked the battery back up.
THEN, I turned the switch on, and the fogs don't work now. What the heck is up with that? I went back and checked all of my connections and even my fuses...nothing is wrong. It's all the same way it was before. Could I have somehow shot the fogs out?
Right behind the front bumper near the crash bar. There was a metal bolt that was screwed down to the chassis of the car. I don't think it's the ground that's the problem, because the switch it came with lights up...and that's grounded there too. I wonder if I blew the fogs?
How are the fogs ran now...Is it a relay type deal with the switch controlling the relay, which puts power to the foglights, or do the fogs get power directly from the switch?
The switch has to be turned ON, and then the stock fog light switch has to be turned on as well. If I turn off the stock fog light switch, the fogs do not operate with just the switch provided. Both have to be on (they don't work now anyways though).
Come to think of it, I might HAVE had the brights on at. Maybe that was my problem! Gosh. I can't check it now because my car's at the paint shop until Tuesday. I'll have to try that when it comes out...
when you get the car back, and if the foglights don't work. I would put power straight to the foglight to see if it lights up just to make sure the ground and bulbs are good. The fact that you have it wired to come on with the stock foglight switch, there is a chance that the highbeams were on, which turns power off of the foglights.
