take out the 3 bolts/screws that hold on the top portion of the bumper that are located in between the 2 headlights ... i think they're 8mm's

after you take them out the top of the bumper will have more play/flex & you can take the headlights out

after those 3 bolts are out, just pull hard on the top part of the bumper, get it out of the way, and yank the headlight out.

5-6 Bolts for mud guard on bottom of bumper
-3 bolts on right side where fender and bumper connects
-3 bolts on left side where fender and bumper connects
-3 bolts that are near the radiator that holds the bumper up
-Remove bumper
-Remove 2 bolts on each headlight which is located on top of headlight
-Remove headlight

If your going to do it, do it right dont mess up the paint on the bumper by removing 2 bolts on the headlight and 3 bolts near the radiator and squeezing it out. Could warp the bumper or create cracks.

or you could just flex it carefully. dude, there's no need to drop the entire bumper just to pull the headlights. that's like saying it's easier to swap the trans if you pull the motor. yea, it's true, but it's really more trouble than it's worth.

Totally agree on this one. To the thread starter, find someone with small hands (like myself) to do it for you next time. I can do it fairly easily w/o removing the lamp in about 4-5 minutes.

don't mean to come off as a dick, but this bumper has to be the most flexible oem piece i've ever seen in my life. i've knocked fenceposts out of the ground without so much as a scratch. plus, he's already swapped the lights, so wtf are we arguing about?

i agree with the vendor drop the bumper. Its only a few more bolts and it makes it alot easier to get the lights in an adjust, so that they are straight.

And not removing the bumper can cause future problems, crack in paint and or warped bumper.

How will you "warp" the bumper simply by flexing it a bit? You'd have to hold it in a deformed position and apply some serious heat for a while to actually warp the thing. It's urethane for goodness sake, they make the things out of the stuff so that they do allow for some flex.
